Our Team
Jenna Bishop, LCSW-S, CCC, Owner
I am deeply passionate about women and teen girls who want to live their life to the full, unashamed and in love with who they are! This is why I opened Bishop’s Counseling for Women in 2015. I have had the unique opportunity to work with women of all ages at varying stages in their life, and it has fostered my passion for their hearts and minds. I strive to refocus the therapeutic process back to the issues women struggle with on a daily basis; issues such as comparison, perfectionism, vulnerability and shame.
I received a bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Arkansas. After receiving a Masters degree in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington, I went on to pursue my certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This level of certification was obtained through high risk, direct therapeutic care, over a two year period of time. In addition, I am a Certified Faith Based Therapist and a Certified Christian Therapist, which allows me to support those who value their faith as a part of their healing process. As a LCSW approved supervisor I provide part-time supervision and consultation to Masters level social workers looking to pursue their LCSW certification. I am also y12sr Yoga trained, which assists me in body work for clients with trauma backgrounds. I consistently make an effort to obtain as much education as possible, as I have a deep love of learning and desire to have as many tools as possible for my clients to benefit from.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I offer individual, couples, teen and emerging adult counseling to support the treatment of relational issues, anxiety, trauma and overall health and wellness. To accomplish change that has staying power, I use a collaborative approach so that you can discover the deeper parts of who you are and I will teach you to integrate what you find. I do this with the intention of you finding a profound, compassionate and purposeful connection with all that you are and can be.
I believe the most important component of therapy is the relationship that exists between you and me. Therefore, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to help you see if I am the right fit. Besides being a therapist and an educator, I am also a wife to Ben and Mama to Ellen. I find great joy in my family, friends, cooking (eating), yoga, running, travel, self exploration, writing and learning.
